Nominate

A Woman of Distinction has made a significant difference in their community by showing vision, creativity, and initiative.

 

Who is eligible?

  • To be eligible to receive a Southeast Saskatchewan Woman of Distinction Award, nominees must:

  • Make their contribution in Southeast Saskatchewan

  • Meet the selection criteria

  • Posthumous applications will not be accepted

  • Nominators are encouraged to resubmit previous nominations from past years who were not successful in their category. Women deserve recognition!

  • A preliminary screening process may be applied to shortlist final nominations.

 

Permission to Nominate

A nominee must be made aware of their nomination. By continuing with this application, you are giving permission to the organizing committee to contact the nominee to receive their consent to the following:

​

  • The publication of their name, biography, photo, online and in-print. 

  • Will attend both the Nominees' Reception on April 2, 2025 as well as the Southeast Saskatchewan Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon on May 2, 2025. 

  • The media may contact them for an interview and that their employer may be contacted.

  • Allow awards committee to contact them during and following the awards process.

  • Please note:  posthumous nominations cannot be accepted.

 

Disclaimer:  An awards representative will be contacting the nominee after this application has been submitted to verify information.  Please note that the application may be shared with the nominee following the award ceremony.  Should the nominee not be made aware of this application, the application may be withdrawn by the nominee at that time.

Innovative Leadership Award
A successful entrepreneur who has become an inspirational leader and role model for others. Have they created or implemented innovative programs, practices, partnerships or activities that significantly improve the lives of women or our community?
a. Minimum of 5 years in business
b. Evidence of meaningful change in the lives of women or the community

Outstanding Contribution to the Workplace Award presented by TS&M Supply
 A woman who reaches beyond her employer's expectations to inspire, mentor and enable others to improve her workplace or our community.
a. Long term contributions – minimum of 5 years in workplace
b. Evidence of meaningful impacts
c. Evidence of inspirational or positive interactions with customers or co-workers.

Outstanding Young Visionary Award presented by Impact Creative Digital Services
This individual under the age of 20 sets an example for others through their efforts and achievements in academics, athletics, volunteerism, or community building.
a. Achievements in more than one activity are given credit
b. Community building may include within and outside of the school system
c. Credit is given to long term achievements

Equity and Inclusion Award (Non-traditional, Overcoming Barriers) presented by Saskatchewan Blue Cross
Recognizes a woman for leadership, resilience, and activism to further advance efforts to improve the community or the culture for the next generation. Have their efforts included overcoming significant barriers to success?
a. Community is defined as those recognized as minorities
b. Improvements made are defined by the group that is being impacted.
c. Credit is given to long term changes and improvements

Outstanding Contribution to the Community Award presented by Steam Est. Industries

This individual will be recognized for their outstanding community service in either a paid position or a volunteer capacity to acknowledge the creation, enhancement or improvement of local programs or our Southeast Saskatchewan community.
a. Community recognizes the efforts and identifies the positive impact
b. Credit given to long term efforts or service
